McArthur is proudly partnering with a Local Government Council, who is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor in the northern regional suburbs of Melbourne. In this this role you will specialize in the development and management of procurement and tender processes.

The role will involve but is not limited to:

Ensure compliance and effective governance of all procurement actions.

Manage the tender process, and ensure staff understand the procurement process and respond to their queries.

Establish, maintain and review contracts.

Identity and analyse contract activity, risks and costings across procurement.

Ensuring new and altered processes of the organisation are communicated regarding the procurement processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Understanding of the procurement practices and how to successfully implement into an organisation.

Understanding of tendering practices.

Experience and knowledge of contract management, ideally within local government.

High level of communication skills and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to conduct audits and data analysis.

Essential Criteria

Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Media or similar discipline with several years' relevant experience.

Eligibility of membership of the Charter Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPSA).

Victorian Driver's License.

Willingness to undertake National Police Check.

Desirable Criteria:

Previous Government experience in a similar role.
